Ingredients
- 2 cups Dried Garbanzo Beans
- 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
- 2 tsp Salt
- 3 cloves Garlic
- 1/2 cup Tahini
- 1 cup Lemon Juice
Directions
- Cover beans with water, add baking soda, and let soak overnight.
- Drain, rinse and boil beans until tender.
- Separate beans from the water, but make sure to save the water for later use.
- Use food processor to combine beans, crushed garlic and salt. Add the saved cooking liquid as needed in order to make a smooth paste.
- Combine the tahini and lemon juice and stir until it has thickened and become smooth.
- Add tahini/lemon mixture to beans/garlic/salt mixture and blend.
- Smooth out hammos over a plate, and garnish with olive oil, parsley, cilantro, and olives.
