- 14 ounces coconut milk (1 can) Skip the Lite Milk because it lacks the rich coconut flavor
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 3/8 tsp table salt
- 5 large egg yolks
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter , cut into 2 pieces
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
