Ingredients

Cake

• 2 and 1/2 cups flour
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 2 tsp baking soda
• 1/2 cup cocoa
• 1 cup butter
• 2 and 1/2 cups sugar
• 4 eggs
• 1 cup buttermilk
• 1 cup hot water
• 2 tsp vanilla

Icing

• 1/2 cup butter
• 1 cup milk
• 16 oz powdered sugar
• 1 to 4 oz unsweetened chocolate, to taste

Directions

Cake

1. Preheat oven to 350
2. Mix flour, salt, baking soda and cocoa together well and set aside
3. Cream butter and sugar
4. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition
5. Add buttermilk, alternating with flour mixture, mix well
6. Add hot water and vanilla
7. Pour into a 9X13" greased pan and an 8 inch square greased pan
8. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes

While the cake is baking, onto the

Icing

1. Place butter, milk, powdered sugar, and chocolate in a saucepan and cook over very low heat, stirring occasionally
2. Pour over warm cake

This makes a very gooey wonderful chocolate cake.
